THE COFFEE THAT WORKS HARDER
Now Available
HARDWORK was born out of the need for a coffee that is both artisanal and approachable. Created by renowned pastry chef, Chris Ford of BUTTERLOVE&HARDWORK, HARDWORK uses ethically sourced, high quality, small batch beans to create a boldly delicious and smooth medium roast that brings the the café experience into the home.
HARDWORK is the second consumer-launched product, following LOVE baking chocolate from BUTTERLOVE&HARDWORK, and follows the same brand ethos - to give the home chef, or in this case, the home barista, the same access to beautiful product and ingredients that the professionals have.
Having specialized in pastry the entirety of his career and most recently chocolate, coffee beans were a natural next step for Chef Ford. While the coffee beans and cacao come from different plants, the process of fermentation and drying have many parallels. Both stimulants require hand picking and use the roasting process to bring out their innately unique flavors.
ORIGIN OF HARDWORK
SUSTAINABILITY
HARDWORK Coffee is ethically sourced from small farms and cooperatives, each who feel as passionately about the beans as we do. This means that our growing and processing practices are ethically and environmentally responsible, and most importantly, our team is treated fairly. We pay well above market price and Fair Trade minimums for all of our beans because it is what is most sustainable for our producers and for the long-term quality of the beans.
